I was driving my jetta at the time.
The strange thing is that when either me or Melanie are driving our Racing Pumas we get no aggression at all. People let us out at junctions, they smile and wave. Its funny how different cars affect people isnt it.
HOLY SHIT

When we're in the cherokee, we never get carved up!
When we're in the Vee-dub camper (aka "Teabag", she was so full of holes when we first got her - but she's been red-oxide primer since 1995) everyone stays out of our way.
When I'm driving my CC, I get all sorts - people who take the p!ss and carve me up, people who smile and let me out, but sadly no hunky guys have stopped me for a chat yet

yeah buses can be bad too .......
read in the paper today that two goth's were sitting on the top deck on a bus in edinburgh city centre and set a fire before getting off.
the driver didn't notice right away and it caused £150k of damage.
could just imagine this driver driving along the road with the top deck on fire none the wiser.

Road rage is a sadly increasing trend. I was 'followed' in Swindon for 25 minutes a couple of years ago, just for having the 'nerve' to overtake a Golf Gti in my 1.4 Rover. Pulled into a police station and, surprise surprise, nob-head no longer wanted to talk about it!

I do that journey via Leytonstone to central London most days, roof off whenever possible and have had no problems – so far. I get the occasional shout of abuse but I’m used to that!
The only time I have had trouble because of the car I am driving was some years ago when I bought a Calibra, they had only been available a few days and I collected mine on Aug 1 with the new registration. During the first week at least 3 people tried to run me off the road. I put it in the garage for a couple of weeks until more of them were around!

Its more carjacking i'm thinking about, I used to live in West London (Ruislip) in the early 90's and a friend of mine was in his XR3i cabrio with the roof down when he stopped at lights in Deptford. He was clubbed round the head with a bar of some kind, dragged out onto the street, kicked in the nuts and 2 lads nicked his car. Never found. Its always stuck with me, especially as my mate had to give his job up as he was in IT and suffered terribly with double vision.
