Last time I bought a car (the TX5 Trung.) I just assumed dealers wouldn't accept it because of this. If they did let you, I would think you could get your loan/finance paid into your credit card account and give them the proof, so that your credit limit wouldn't come into it.
Mastercard & Visa : 1.5%-4% depending on how big of a store / retailer you are.
Amex & Diners: I'm not sure, should be more.
The TX5 is still outside my house, my dad is using it for work.

the normal commission rate for my store is 1.1% but that's a mix between debit & credit cards. turnover is £3m p.a. but part of a company with a turnover of £220m
