A new registration is released every 6 months, thus when selling the vehicle a newer registration would be more sought after. Isnt it the same in other countries? It is a kinda silly way of doing things really isnt it... either that or a conspirousy by the goverment to stop me getting my car

In Holland one gets a registration on the day the car gets delivered to you, so there are 365 registration dates here

There's a difference between registration date and registration plate. Cars still have a registration date, but the plate only tells you in what 6-month period that date is.

Well the date hasbeen brought forward to .. umm Monday ... but I asked to wait .. they where not keen on that until i reminded them that I was not trading in my old car because im keeping it !!

Don't get that, one sentence he says with it being a new reg every 6 months it doesnt make much difference, next breat they are concerned about loosing value on my used car !!!
