Don't ignore a rattle from the rear offside that sounds like the exhaust is loose.

When I investigated the rear shock was attached at the bottom by just the bush, with no connecting bolt and could just be waggled around!

We got the car to the garage just before suspension failure. Parts will take a week to arrive.

Although the car is a year old it has just 2000 miles on the clock and just shows that the French have no idea how to screw a car together properly and safely!

I had a feeling that other 206cc owners had rear suspension failure when I was researching the car about 18 months ago.

Mine is just 5 months old, and rattle noise coming out from the front suspensions.
Took the car back to the dealer and they said the shock absorber needed to be replace. Waiting time for parts .......... 14 days to whenever (depends on whether its coming from France or not)

Sorry to hear of your shocking fault. At least it's winter down under.
While the sun shines over the English countryside our convertible is still stuck on the garage!

Have a good one.
