I have had my CC for 1 month now. Its a 2-litre with SP grill, Arches and Lexus rear lights with leather interior, 4" devil pipe and next week a kicking stereo...but
....My mates call it a girls car!! Despite it looking harder and driving faster than their focus/fiesta/306/other stuff.
So one question....is it a girls car? Have i spent a sh*t load of money only to be riddiculed by everyone (despite the fact that it beats the c*** out all the cars on the motorway on the way to work)??

Here in Amsterdam, I see about 50% men and 50% women driving the car, so yes, it's more a girly car than other cars but not specifically a girly car, I'd say the Twingo and the Smart are far more girly. Anyway, in Holland all VW Golf Cabrio's are driven by blonde women between 40 and 50 driving to their tennis club, so as a guy one can better be seen in a CC than in one of those
. And yes, it attracks women , I will find that out personally in 2 days when mine arrives

I was worried about stereotyping too! What I want to know is - are we too OLD for our 2.0 CE? I mean, a couple of late 40's Civil Servants with Led Zep on the stereo ... if we are spoiling the image guys, let us know and we'll buy a Rover.

No way Steve & Sue, I'd hate to think that the lovely Pug could be limited to a few youngsters only, and I'm 37 by the way.
Gringo Steve, I think your mates are pulling your leg cos your cars more stylish and faster than theirs, in other words, I reckon they're jelous and given half the chance, reckon they'd buy one.
Robbie.

True, very true, those insurance companies hate to see bashed up Pugs (and having to pay) sorry to hear your caught up in the stereotypical image. Still we all had to go through it, no wonder I was pennyless when I was in my early twenties driving a 928 and XJ6 at the same time (not simultaniously Derek before you post).
Still I think its cured me of driving nice fast cars (not).

"Respect your elders" - isn't that the saying!
