"Auto" on the L hand side indicator stick

As far as I can tell it is to say that the lights are on Auto setting. I'm not sure why they need it as you need to depress a button when turning the ignition on to switch the auto function on and off, so I can't see that there is any need for the Auto letters to be there.
I may be wrong - but if I am I'm sure somebody will correct me!.

yes it's for the auto lights. the fact that it stays set all the time and i can't be bothered (sorry) to go and get my manual means i can't remember how it works 100% but if i remember, you turn key to accessories position, then hold button in for 2 seconds then the display will tell you auto lights are active.
