It had to happen eventually. My CC has just developed its first fault.

Driving to work this morning the driver's side windows both opened spontainiously and stayed open. I couldn't shut them, it was raining lightly and couldn't leave the car parked anywhere so I drove straight to the dealer.

They had a quick look and reproduced the fault. They also closed the windows and disabled the opening mechanism.

Unfortunately, in the absence of a courtesy car I couldn't spare the time for them to investigate and fix. When I have more time I'll book it in to get properly fixed and let you all know the result.

vince,
no way that is such a bummer!, if you can't wind the windows down i take it you can't put the roof down either till they sort it?!?
hope it gets sorted nice and quickly for you  . Mind you weather in hampshire not exactly tropical at the moment is it so hopefully you won't lose too many sunny days?!

It's booked in for a combined repair, 6,000 mile service and mud-flap installation in a couple of weeks. I'll update you then.

Blimey, what an obvious question. (And one I never thought to ask. Doh!)

Thinking about it, the speaker behind the driver's seat is sounding harsh like maybe it's blown. Is that sort of thing covered on the warranty or is it 'normal wear and tear'? Definitely spoils my Harry Potter CDs to say nothing of Morcheeba.

Pauline, the garage near me did four Peugeot mudflaps fitted for about £45. Saying that the front set appear to do bugger all apart from stop some slight stone chipping.

If your dead posh you could get the colour coded ones?
