I've just had a call from the garage...
They have pulled the dent out of my car, but the fitting of the autochanger has been 'delayed'.

They fitted it, and it didn't work, so after consultation with Clarion in Coventry, they have diagnosed that the connecting cable has too much resistance, which is stopping the headunit seeing the changer.
Clarion are posting down a lead to them tomorrow.... great stuff... BUT...

I'm supposed to be going to the meet tonight in my CC!!!
Now I'll have to turn up in a 307 :sad: :sad: :sad:

The guy at Charters said he would like to keep it overnight if possible.
And, to be fair, he has been REALLY good at sorting my problems out, so I'm letting him get away with it this time!

Just bloody typical that of all the times this has to happen, it happens today!

Yeah!
I had major problems with the head sales guy, Stuart, saying he'd booked the car in, etc...
Problems ran on for a month!
Eventually he was ill, so I spoke to Richard, who is head of servicing, last Thursday, and he bent over backwards to get the car in and fixed... Great guy!

Stuart had told me that the servicing department were booked up for 3 weeks, without any loan cars. He also told me the autochanger was in and waiting for me, and it would cost about £140 (the price difference between that and the luggage rack that should have been on the car)

Richard told me that he COULD get me a loan car, within 5 days, and that the autochanger wasn't in stock... plus it would cost me £20, and he would cover that for my incovenience!
