Just got back from France to place an order for a 2.0 Silver with leather; just the infuriating wait now!
My local garage, Romsey in Hants, has had an unfortunate incident. Seems they had a new CC just delivered waiting in the showroom. The owner arrived, so the salesman leant in to the car, turned on the ignition to demonstrate the goodies. However the car was in gear with the handbrake off...I bet you can guess what happened next.
Yes the car lurched forward, smashed through the plate glass windows and was fortunately prevented from going on a fast flowing main road by colliding with the petrol sign from the adjoining garage; salesman frantically holding on to the car to bring it to a stop.
Fortunately, unlike the car, he was only slightly injured.

How did the car keep on going if it was in gear?

Fair one, I just copied the artical from our city newspaper; not often the CC makes the the front page!
The route it took was downhill so possibly:
. it jumped out of gear
. started
. the whole story's BS to cover an error by the staff?
Who knows.....maybe someone reading this??
