I got home this evening to find a card thru the door from interflora saying that they'd left my flowers with my next door neighbours. How exciting I thought, who would send little old me flowers  Went through the list of possibles, crossing my husband off first (I'm very realistic), couldn't think of a soul :???:

So, when I got them, I ripped open the envelope and guess who they from............

Direct Line Insurance !!!

They were sending then to console me after my incident

Now some of you have seen the side of my little cutie since some w****r hit me a car park and then promptly left. I wasn't very happy but it's not that impressive (saying that they're got to respray the side of the car) But flowers, how sweet

So, not only were Direct Line cheapest, they are very efficient (authorised repairer rang me 2 hours after I reported it)and they send lovely flowers

Just though this story would restore your faith in human nature

Sorry to hear you have w****** in Reading, they probably were visiting from Bedford.

December 2000 - Anonymous person caved in bottom of passenger door on our Corsa when Mrs Eye See parked it in car park outside front of railway station. They got out, wiped away the dirt to admire their handy work and drove off. Dozens of people about just got off a train and a queue of a dozen taxis ......no one saw a thing. Was probably caused by a taxi!

March 2002 - N/S/F wing of our CC caved in by drunken skinhead as Mrs Eye See bought a pay & display ticket in Town Centre! Happened just over 100 yards from cop shop but it took them 5 days to come and take a statement! Unfortunately, the culprit evaded the CCTV cameras.

We had never claimed on any car insurances since 1986 having had older vehicles. Then you get new cars and two non fault incidents in 15 months that you have to claim on your own insurance! It's not fair!!!!!!!!

Insurance? Sorted very efficiently by NIG (through broker Lifesure). Hire car on 1st occassion but not on 2nd as we chose to have Peugeot dealer do repair whilst doing 6 month service.

Eye See

(PS No flowers from NIG)

Last year, I drove over to my mate Dave's house in Woolwich. The plan was for me, him and a third mate of ours to take my old car (a Mondeo) to Luton Airport as we were off to Barcelona on holiday.

I parked it around the corner from his house, but halfway through the evening, Dave suggested I move it to the drive right in front of his house. "It would be safer there", he said.

About two hours later, we heard a huge crunching sound. We all ran outsite to find a joyrider executing a handbrake turn after smashing into my car, causing about £2,000 worth of damage.

Of course, if I'd left it where it was, it wouldn't have happened.

Thinking of sending that story to Alanis Morrisette, so she can undertsand the real meaning of 'ironic'.
