I was driving down the motorway yesterday evening and suddenly...

... the black plastic cover attached to the bottom of the windscreen wiper started flapping in the wind!

A few miles down the road it blew off

The cost will be extortionate and I will also have to pay a half hour's labour to fit the new wiper !!

Has anyone else had any problems like this? Is it true that I need to buy a whole new wiper? :???:

I've feeling very depressed about the whole thing!

The black plastic thingy's not designed to fly off so whatever was supposed to hold it on obviously failed. I'd draw this to the attention of your dealer and politely request that they replace the part, as it should be covered by your warranty. ;)

Good Luck,
Justin

They told me that it wouldn't normally blow off and so someone must have tampered with it whilst it was parked and so no warranty cover ! My poor baby pug !!

Grainne,

Yeah, they're right to say it wouldn't normally blow off unless:

a) Someone tampered with it
or
b) It was faulty

They can't really prove either to be the case but I'd say option b was more likely.
Have you tried talking to another dealer or going straight to Peugeot Customer Assistance - probably worth a try.

Justin.
