............ when it is 'standard'
Yes, this is what Peugeot's technical rep and Warwick Wright Brent Cross's After Sales Manager are telling us! The Operations Manager for Robins and Day Ltd who own the Warwick Wright chain even agrees!
Camdens of Bedford had 3 attempts and failed.
Warwick Wright Brent Cross had the car for four weeks and failed.
We still have a bad rattle behind the dash, we still have wheel trims that move (no replies re alloys please Erm!), our car does not respond when pulling away and it lumps whilst stationary. There are other things we cannot comment on eg leaks as it has not rained. Other things which have been improved upon, but are not 100% right.
If the running problems are standard, then why on the car’s four visits to Peugeot dealerships has it been linked up by computer to Peugeot’s technical people who have instructed them to replace parts?
The instrument rattle cannot be standard. The courtesy car and every car we have ever driven before have never done it!
The wheel trim problem is standard. The majority of 206CC and 307 cars we have seen with Peugeot’s 15â€
When is a fault/defect/problem not one?

Good idea Erm, or how about contacting the legal dept of the AA since your still a 12 months free member? They may give you some useful advice (ironic I know) in such circumstances, and maybe even an AA report listing all defects might make the dealer budge without the need of threatening legal action through solicitors which may ultimately have the best effect.

Thanks everyone.
We are RAC members and did speak to their Legal people some time back when we first tried to reject the car. They repeated what everyone else said. IE we had to give the supplying dealer a chance to fix it, which we now have.
We have spoken to a solicitor who feels we have a case, but how long would it take and how much would it cost?
At present, we are waiting for the finance company, Black Horse, to come back to us. They are 'investigating' at the moment, but we don't hold out much hope!
If no joy there, we will go to the solicitor and also send copies of the 70+ pages of corespondence to BBC Watchdog programme and What Car? magazine.
We do have Warwick Wright Brent Cross's/ Robins and Day Ltd's ops Manager's mobile number. He thinks our problems are isolated and has never in his 23 years with the Peugoet group had anyone with a wheel trim problem! Told him about this forum, but he was not interested.
Anyone fancy giving him a ring to back up our problems? If 'yes' we might post it here!

If the car was bought through a finance company, I think the finance company maybe jointly liable. If thats the case, perhaps you may have some luck with them? Apologies if that is what you meant by waiting for them to come back to you.

Yes Robbie - That is the line we have been taking with Black Horse.
By the way everyone. For those that didn't already know, Robins and Day Ltd that own Warwick Wright Brent Cross are owned by Peugeot Motor Co. Plc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
No wonder they are a waste of time!

Hence my reference to irony lol.
Not so funny for Eye See though
Well I hope that the clout of the finance company knowing they are also jointly liable can get Peugeot to change there stance.

Well, Black Horse have replied.
We, yes we, have got to get an independant report done at our expense to prove the car is still faulty!!!!!!!!!!!
Tried RAC who we are members of - £185.95, but will knock off £20 as we do not need a HPI check doing.
Anyone else had a report done? Names, numbers and prices please!
Ops Manager of Robins & Day/WWBX said he could divert into Bedford on way up/down M1. Have left message telling him he has got to!
A totally p****d off Eye See

Have no faith in Black Horse, they keep moving the goal posts.
Twice we have done exactly what they have said and both times they have come back with a 'now do this'.
Peugeot Customer Relations are a waste of time. Why 'Relations' and not 'Service'? Obvious answer - They don't provide a service, they create a relationship ...... that seems to be heading for a divorce!
