a question of the 206cc drive quality?

HellO!

Ive had the cc 7 days now, i have noticed
that its feels all the bumps in the road.

Someimtes i feel like ive fighting the steering wheel because the forces are so violent ...

Im just wondering if this is normal? and what is causing it, a tough suspension, or
just how a convertable is, stiff due to its extra support in the body work (whatever the technical word is) ?

Comments please? before I tell the dealer my stearing wheel is broke

intresting i always thought the opposite that it's suffers from a soft ride.

!!!!!!!!!!!!, is there something wrong with my CC ? Whos got a CC and driven a 206, does it feel the same? cos my certainly doesnt. :sad: :sad:

Hi Andrew,

I had a 206 before the CC and the only difference I feel is when the roof is down and you get the 'flex' vibration that you get with every convertible car.

I think the difference in feeling every bump in the road is because you now have low profile tyres (I am guessing you have the 2.0?)

the ride quality in the CC is crap, due to a number of technical reasons, especailly if your're comparing it to a family car. people think i have lowered the car cos its so bumpy but haven't experienced the fighting against the wheel thing. Best thing to do is go for a test drive in otehr cc and compare the difference

And check your tyre pressures - some are delivered with 40psi when they should be 32 - I think? Rob will know!

I think my tyre presures look okay .. they appear like my old ones did which i know are correct - err at least with one of those gauges ... not a digital one though, how much do they set you back?

I have the 1.6 version, i didnt realize the 2.0 had low profile tyres.... my tyres look smaller on the 1.6S to my previous 206 though ?!

Anywya, i drove home with the roof up today ... i dont think the vibrations are as bad .... I'll be keeping a close eye on it as the car is taking a trip to the dealer to get the problems they blatantley missed on the PDI fixed ...

Mine is a 1.6 and I find the ride quite comfy. It soaks up the bumps quite well.

Mines a 1.6 and I'm afriad to say that my car isn't very comfy at all, I have all kinds of strange bumps and rattles but with the music up I don't notice it as much!

At the end of the day we all own the best car on the road so who cares if its bumpy??

Hard suspension and rattles .... but all the looks ... especially with the roof down - some also with the roof up

Hi Andrew,

I ve owened a VW lupo previously and thought that german cars e stiff and hard....
After a few days with the cc i ve had the same feelings as u concerning the car on the road....
I believe that all cars r the same and the whole feeling has to do with each ones subjectiveness...
