Hi,
As a newcomer to the world of Peugeot ownership please excuse me for asking a question that may have been asked many times before!
I will be taking delivery of a new imported 1.6S (moonstone, alloys, sports pack & black leather) at the end of Sept and am getting a bit concerned as to what to do in the event of warranty work being needed.
Should I take the car to my local Peugeot garage as soon as I get it to "register" it on their database? or only if (and when!) a problem develops?
As far as I have been able to find out the first service seems to be due at 6k miles or 6 months and then at 20k intervals, having read all the problems on this site about dodgy roofs, leaks etc I fear that a visit to the local dealership will be on the cards before these mileages are reached, hence this post!
Any advice would be most appreciated.
Thanks.

You will get a manufacturer's warranty as standard. As long as you bought it in the EU, it will be valid across the EU.

It will either be for 1 or 2 years (I believe it's 2). If you want to extend it, you may be able to purchase an extension.

Yeah, 2 year warantee is standard now across the EU.

Should have no probs with your local dealer. Don't think you will need to register with em.

You will need to take the original invoice for the sale to your dealership - that's the one that shows the sale in Euros (or might not if they tippex it out!)... That should be all y ou need to get your car added to the UK database. btw, I've never had any probs taking my import to my local dealer - they even wash it for me. They've so far fixed a few niggly things under warranty - and very well too
