Got stopped last night after a surfing weekend in Cornwall - doing 94 mph round a bend on the A30. By the time I saw the speedgun I knew it was too late.
It was only a matter of time and blue lights duly caught up with me a mile later down the road (by that time I was doing a respectable 70 mph).

After a lengthy conversation professing my deepest shock and mentioning my previous job, always ending with "officer", ~(best to let them know they're in charge) the kind sole let me go with a ticking off.
A lesson learned for the day. Needless to say I kept to a steady 80mph all the way home which was quite good for me.
