Hi All,

Sorry about the title but that's the way i feel right now.

Got in my CC at 5.00pm today and all i got when turning the key was a clicking sound, tried it again still a clicking sound and the dashboard display reset itself (time and date) and changed to french again !!!!!

All my so called work mates were taking the p*** big time, it doesn't help that they all drive sheds and mine cost over £17,000, gonna get ragged now for a few days  : (.

Some did help tho by trying to bump start the car, nearly worked but didn't. tried it again, surprise surprise started first time as if nothing had happened.

Called my dealer but no help whatsoever coz their testing machine/computor was broken, going down saturday to give them a mouth full and they can keep the car for as long as it takes to get to the bottom of the problem coz it's getting beyond a joke and i'm NOT going to take a diesel 106 as a courtesy car this time , like they did when they had it all day friday and couldn't find anything wrong !!!!!!

Sorry to go on but wouldn't you ?

Cheers

Lyndon

I was actually thinking earlier today that you should consider rejecting your car (join the club). At the end of the day, the car is unreliable and the dealer can't seem to solve the problem.

At least my dealer is on the same wavelength as me now and fully understands my fustration. They know the next step (if the next repair is unsuccessful)is a replacement after speaking to them today.

As far as courtesy cars go Lyndon, when mines was in for 4 days in December I got a P106 Quicksilver. Better than a P106 diesel and it was all last minute but I still let them know it was unacceptable. When it went back in January, I got the After Sales Managers Rover 75 2.0 for 9 days. For the last 2 weeks I have had a Rover 45 TD. Not the best car, but could be worse and very economical - and very dry

Good luck with your dealer Lyndon.

Hi derek,

Thanks for your support will let you know how it goes.

Maybe if they kept the car for about a week then try it, then maybe it won't start on them, then get something done about it.

Looking forward to tomorrow for all the p*** taking NOT !!!!!
Cheers

Hi all,

my cars got a new trick

tried starting it at 5.00pm today, took about 6 attempts then when it did start it died, tried it again started and died then again revved it moved off, came to a junction the revs kept dropping to below 500rpm also stalled a couple of times at different junctions

Got home pulled into the parking space stalled again, started then stalled, started again revved it hard reserved, switched off and totally p***ed off

Yet something else to add to the list when it goes in this saturday for a weeks holiday at the dealers, they had better find something wrong this time.

Cheers

Lyndon

Lyndon

I had a ford probe which did all of what you have said.

After months of trying to figure out what it was it came down to a faulty immobiliser

I only bring it up cause what u describe is so very similar to what I found.
