Trips this summer?

Ok I thought I'd ask Where has everyone been this summer (with their cc of course!). Got mine in July and so far the best trip was two weeks ago to Dublin. Caught the swift Holhead Ferry and spent the weekend driving round Southern Ireland (down as far as Waterford). Round trip was just over 850 miles topless all the way of course

Now I bet loads of you have gone further afield than that......

Not gone very far so far this year, but thats about to change.
Late summer holls for us, we are driving down to the Algarve next week.
Cant wait.

When our little cc was only one day old, we drove it all the way to the south of France. We made a tour there for a couple of day (visited nice, st-tropez, cannes, monaco,...). Then we drove into Italy and stayed in Venice. Last but not least we drove back through the alpes and stayed in Chamonix (next to the Mont blanc, white mountain?). That resulted in driving 4000 km of which at least 3000km with the roof down!

We were gone for 10 days.

by the way the Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in europe.... more than 4000 metres high, my dad has been on top of it a few times.... crazy old man.....

As far as my trip is concerned.... drove from Florence, Italy all the way to Calais, France in a day.... left at 5 am got there at 7pm..... then next day took the ferry then drove to Manchester Uk, guess where I found the most traffic?

Total of 1800Km, only stopped to visit Leeds Castle which is wonderful!
My CC had only 250Km on the clock, so I didnt push it at all, all the way.
