After last nights driven program , in which the women on the program voted the male drivers of CCs as GAY, as anyone got any comments? Is it just that we are all in touch with our feminine side? or is this also a secret gay forum? Not that there is anything wrong with that!

I'm here in the land of Oz, so didn't see the program. I have however read articles here in Australia as the CC hits our shores. Phrases like "cafe latte set" and "hairdressers" have been used. There's also been a lot of negative comment regarding the limited space (same as what I saw from Lyndon's post of the seconf Driven review that compared to the Vauxhall and Golf).
My take on this - some of the motoring media have made a concerted effort to dicredit the CC. Why? Anyones guess. Are they in the pockets of other manufacturers? Regarless of conspiracy theory, I think we're dealing with a market reaction to a radically different vehicle that doesn't fit with an established class. Sure, there's the Merc SLK but Peugeot have brought the attributes of it into the hands of the broader market.
It's interesting I make this comment, as I don't yet have a CC. Been waiting for 16 months for it to land here, and have it in my hands in a week. I think my comments have some degree of objectivity.
Look back through history - bold design has always caused debate and criticism. Time will tell whether the CC becomes a benchmark or an "Edsel"
Cheers

Yes I too saw Driven and was about to post my own message re: the "Gay" CC!!!
Outrageous generalisation. I honestly dont think that you can tell anybodys sexual preference by the car they drive and who cares anyway!!!!
I get my CC in 2 weeks(So excited!!) and am looking forward to driving around with or without my girlfriend with no fear of looking gay.
Dont let one narrow minded persons opinion put anyone off a fabulous looking car.
And as has been pointed out whats so wrong about being gay anyway?
I'm sure this subject will get quite a bit of discussion!!

Well thats all I can say is the girl that made this comment was a slapper and was the mojority of the girls. Firstly if you was to show a Subura Impreza to the majority of girls they wouldn't think much to it. Girls tend to go for looks and colour. Secondly the colour that they had for the CC was RED!!!!!!!! Well I for one thought it didn't do much for the car and it did look more girlie (No offence to any red cc owners). I have ordered a 206CC and it is due in May and do you think that that comment is going to put me off???????? Is it hell I think the CC is one of the most fun car to drive.
As for the women that were on driven I think the car that would have done it for them would be a Nova with all the body ki, the twin exhaust and the fluffy dice and Mostly that bass box and Dogs b*****x stereo.

let's face it, Driven weren't very accurate on their last review of the CC so it's hardly surprising that they make the same mistake again.
the only thing annoying me is today is the first opportunity i have had to drive it with the roof down but it's still at the dealer - on a brighter note, the 2nd seal arrived from the north sea early this morning.

OMG.....Driven Sucks!!!
I was wondering why someone asked me whether i saw driven last night.....and then laughed. But u know what I sooooo dont care. Infact the more women love the CC the better for me.
And they will be receiving an email from me

After i told my wife about the comment, she was in hysterics, when she finally came round, she said that it really depended on the colour and my black CC was very manly!!...I think she was saying that so i don't start thinking about getting a chunky bodykit and big alloys (like the one in this months Max power)
And answering the last question, the reason it was on driven was a review of top cars for pulling in!!! I wouldn't have thought the X5 or Scoobies as cars you'd associate with pulling birds anyway.

I think we're giving in to as many stereotypes as the woman on Driven:
Yes I drive a CC, yes I'm gay, no I don't listen to Judy Garland, no I can't cut hair, no I don't drink Cafe latte, no I haven't got Bob and Rose on video.
Not looking forward to listen to every man on the list now mention their wife/girlfriend. Are you guys really that insecure that that kind of nonsense bothers you?
Mike
P.S. Col, My CC is black too.
