Seeing as I have now been charged with arranging a more Northerly meet for next year while at Thorpe Park had an idea which I have already run past Paul_3yk.

1. Trundle up North on Saturday afternoon with B&B for those coming up on Saturday. Night out and possibly "Ghost Walk" in York. (I have worked in York for about 22 years now and have never done one but Paul_3yk has and said it was very scary).

2. Sunday morning all convoy (and meet up with those that only want to do Sunday) to a local attraction possibly "Lightwater Valley" if theme parks are preferred.

What does everybody think???

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

i've spoken to a friend who is a fairground HM Principal Inspector of Health and Safety about the place you suggested

they did have a fatal accident last year when two cars collided on a roller coaster..and the whiplash broke the neck of a 21 year old student.

only place he says is truely safe....

ALTON TOWERS

I like to do my homework :)

Alton towers! Yay!

I'd be interested in a Northern excursion next year. I missed this year's excursion as i only heard about it a few days before.

Alton Towers is favourable for me and Erm and prob a few other Southerners who are more South than me as York is a fair way.

It seems to be favourable to go to a theme park so why not go for Alton Towers! I need to get Steve (Paulines hubbie) and Rob back for trying to get me drenched on the Tidal Wave!!!

I think I could drag myself up North

Don't really like Theme parks but I love the excitement of getting all the CC's together. Will come on my own this time and leave the shy mates at home. :)

Why not a day trip to Coventry? ;-)

Heh

Once you've seen peeping tom, Ladygodiva statue, the motor museum and the cathedral, you've seen Coventry.
:(
