ok since today in manchester it was really warm and sunny    my gf and I decided to go topless for a ride.. around town and pick up bits and pieces we both needed (car ecc) and since the other day I saw a few drops inside my back seat after raining I wanted to get that gel you lot was talking about in the leaks section..... it proved nearly impossible! I actually havent found it yet! Tried local (big) Halfords, and they only have SEALANT silicone based that actually glues parts so it's a big NO NO.... tried homebase to see what they had... nothing.... any clues guys and girls????? I wanted to water proof my rubber seals before the rainy season kicks in..... 8)

do a search on this forum for autoglym or autoglym rubber and vinyl care (i use this one) it needs re-applying when the rubber starts squeaking again and i've never had a leak yet in the CC, touch wood :D

Dunno wether it's coz of the autoglym stuff but you never know

i think pauline used some 'silicon grease' or summat best to ask her :D

although using loads of the autoglym can't be harmfull to the seals :D

true.. thats why I was putting lots on today.... the only problem is... it leaves LOTS of "halo" on the paintwork! It took me ages to sweep it away!.... and thinking that I washed the car just yesterday...

yep, I got some stuff used for underwater cameras (my husband worked for a defence company and brought some home that was out of date for MOD use but not for CC use ). Try searching on the old forum for Molykote (I think?) failing that try a camera shop like Jessops for silicon grease for applying to lenses, I know they sell it - I found some on their website. Good luck!

PS Viva Valentino Rossi!

Oh, is that Spanish for Yes? I thought it worked in Italian as well. Although I don't know how to say no in either language
