Hi everyone, can I ask if anyone has purchased from the above?
had any probs? just wondering how the warranty works.. I think they are imports but come with 2 years manufacturers warranty, how does it work? (i.e can I just take it to my local pug. dealer? do I need to register it with them?)
Anything I need to be aware of before handing over the dosh?
thank you muchly!
Looked at trade sales several times for used cars. Never liked the operation. Quality of used cars poor found mouldy seats on a Punto once. And as for a test drive I never dared ask. Even if they were willing I wasn't going to wait while they moved 20 other cars onto the A4. They seamed keener to sell you credit before youve even chosen a car.
Speaking purely from my own prejudiced view wouldn't touch them with barge pole.
I bought my 206CC SE from them in March. It was from stock, so no wait. They gave me a price and took my old Vectra away without any hassle. The 206 is perfect and came with 2 remote and 2 wheel bolt keys. Trade-Sales had not bothered to tax the vehicle and it had no fuel, but I had expected as much. We did not ask for a test drive, but I know they do not encourage such requests. The PDI had been done in France. I had my 6-month free service done in Bromsgrove where they have been very helpful. I had the service booklet and the V5 document for them to put it on their database. They kept the free service coupon (and claim the money from Peugeot UK). I had a 6,000 mile oil change a few weeks ago on a timed appointment. I see lots of unhappy people posting on the site, but to date I am pleased with Trade-Sales and Regal in Bromsgrove.
If you extend a warranty, be aware that it's more like an insurance policy so you'll only be covered for certain things failing and MUST stick to your warranty schedule or you'll invalidate the extended warranty as well. I bought from Motorpoint - same type of outfit - but the underwrite their own warranty so i'd get any servicing done by Peugeot and then Pug claim the money back from Motorpoint direct. Motorpoint and Trade Sales both buy big and sell quick so make sure you know what you want, then you pays your money and takes your choice. I found that Trade Sales were much more expensive tho - I paid 2 grand less than they were asking, although their prices have come down since then (last Dec). Good luck
I got mine from them and the 28 days 'till u get the paperwork is about to expire. No real complaints apart from the manager at the collection point . Even his staff say he is a ******* but thati s there opinion, I'll reply when I do get my paperwork.
