Well thats it, its all over. My treasured gold fish bowl no longer belongs to me, I have signed it back over to the dealership. But I have to say that the fact that I have all my money back kind of puts a smile on my face. Oh and the knowledge that I shall soon be driving a Golf GTI, which I understand is faster that the 206cc, and after driving one for a day, is much better built, and even better does not let the water in. Yes I know I cant take the roof off, and I will no doubt miss that but I believe I will have much more for my money. At least I wont have to deal with the Peugeot Monkeys any more! So to all you 206cc drivers good luck, may it never rain again and I will have a little smile on my face every time I see one of you.

Hope you have more luck than one of the guys at work with a Golf GTi. Alarm problems, central locking problems, brake problems and it uses a litre of oil every 1000 miles (normal according to VW).

You would have been better with a Honda Civic type R

i agree the Civic type R is a bargain for 16k pity the insurance is so high, but would be my alternative for the CC

Please dont take the smile thing the wrong way, In case you didnt realise I would think back on the happy memories, not smile because of the problems! As for the Honda Type R, I looks awful inside especially with the gear stick on the dash, and with most Honda`s, Fiats etc, the residual value is very poor indeed. Thats why I opted for the cc and the Golf, as you know the second hand value has a much better chance.

NS- now you've gone and done it!

Bought a Golf GTI and crossed over the divide! I love my CC and will certainly have a smile on my face when I see you (also wasn't aware that the 0-60 figures for the SE 2L and GTI varied by much. Suspect the real performance figures indicate the Golf GTI may infact be slightly slower -if this really matters).

I suppose this means you'll have to take your comments now to the GTI site though I don't want to be bitchy. Tara love, and have a gay time with your GTI!(hehe).

Thanks for your comments Robbie! If you would care to read the previous message you will see that Ill miss the car, but its a case that I have no faith in peugeot, and after reading this site for many months, nor do many others. As for deciding to slate the Golf, this seems to be rather immature, as yes I may discover problems with it, but the fact it has been around for a number of years means that most of these have been sorted out, something that the 206cc hasnt had the benefit of.

I think I've touched on a sore point. We're not all homophobic on this site and as for your suggestion of liable, have a gay day!

Lighten up NS - your gettin borin and extreamly negative since you've switched cars.

Blimey! It doesn't take much to upset a lawyer does it.

Seems not vince. Glad he had the sense to edit out the threat of liabel action - and remove his earlier innuendo about members leaving bitchy remarks. I almost went all goose pimpley for a minute!

Lyndon- can I have your twiddly administrator thing that goes round or even Rob's big silver star. I'm tired of my tiny one (oh er missus!). And can someone tell me how to put a big smiley face at the end of this sentence?

Robbie.

Robbie,

No you can't have me spinning logo.

To get a bigger star you need to post more.

Look in the FAQ at the top of the page to learn how to do  ;)

Cheers
