leaks.. the dealers last chanche... rejection

Oki.. my car leaks... it have done that since I got it in january. The dealer tried to fix it three times but have failed. After the Norwegian consumer laws I now can reject the car and get my money back with interests. But... there is a big but here... If I do so I loose the money I paid to seal the paint, about 750Â£ and I got a good deal when i bought the car. I got it about 2000Â£ cheaper than normaly, because i bought it through contacts I had at that time. So if i get my money back and then by a new one i will loose a litle less then 3000Â£. Not a good deal for me, I think. Therefore I will try to squeese them a bit. I will give them one more chance to fix the leaks if they go with me on my terms wich are:
- of course a free rent car when they fix the car
- A brand new car if they dont fix it. (I guess this will be the 2003 mod. since they start producing them in the midle of this month)
- I will decide if the leaks are fixed or not. I want to unvoid a huge discussion afterwards about what is leaks and what is "normal" for these sort of cars (cabs)
- They have to pay for the paint sealing of the new car

If they dont like these terms, then they wont get another chanche to repair the leaks and I will not be a 206cc owner anymore. So the next few weeks will decide my future about cars.....

BTW... I read that i can save about 7000Â£ buying the same car in Sweeden so that may be an option

Updates:
Got a letter this afternoon and the dealer agreed to all my terms. That means that after my next visit at the dealer I either get myself a leakfree car or they have to order a new car to mee and do the paintsealing without any costs for mee. Thats a good deal

I like the Norwegan three strikes and you're out principle. UK consumer legislation is as weak as dishwater sometimes. Often you get more resorting to threats of public exposure via the media than you do any other way.

what I like best beside the three strikes and you're out principle is that you are titled to an interest on 11% on the money you have payed for the car if its rejected. Of course you have to pay a small amount pr. km you have driven, to the dealer, but in my case it would be less then the interests. Thinking about it ,its only fair. They have had your money, and have to pay for the use of them, and you have to pay for the use of the car....

But I dont have to think about that now

Nope, even with spesialist flown in from Peugeot headquarter in Norway they didnt manage to fix it. The same specalist will be flown in this time too... They managed to fix my brothers car last time...
I have used the time since last of june to work out this deal. During this periode I didnt alow them to touch the car. But it has been a nice summer and a nice start of the autumn so I didnt realy notice the leaks that much.

well, my car must be a nightmare... they didnt fix it this time either and there are still leaks. Have to say that the dealer and Peugeot Norway have done a huge job and realy tried their best to fix it. when they didnt made it they took their responsibility and did the right things
That means that i get a new car with the terms I mention earlier in this tread.
The new car will probably be produced in january 2003 (exactly a year after i got my first car) and delivery is planed to be in february.
Until then I drive my leaking car.

Huge thanks to Peugeot Norway and my dealer for taking the problem seriously and for the positivity they have shown. Sadly this problem couldnt be solved, but i know they have the knowledge to solve the "normal" leaks. Have been talking to other owners who have had their cars fixed. I think I just got a car with its own will....

hehe... its Bergen we are talking about... its about 300 days pr year with rain here....
