Two for the price of one here.
What is usual for spare part delivery? I have been waiting 3 weeks now for a gearbox with an anticipated further 3 weeks before delivery (and car is off the road, less than 3 months old). Anyone taken up the 24 hour parts guarantee, i.e. if not next day don't pay, and how would that work whuile car is unde warranty anyway? Also, anyone know the name and address of Peugeot MD 'cos I really am sick of them and the car now?!

Derek's right, Peugeot will just refer you back to your dealership. Rob had some luck by visiting Coventry in person though, guess it depends how you want to proceed. I hope you've got a good courtesy car out of the dealership, it seems the more inconvenience you cause them, the faster they'll move. If that doesn't work the last resort is to reject the car or take legal advice

It seems that the 24 hours or your part is free scheme has been cancelled.

I understand that it was costing TOO MUCH to run - and we all know why that is

With the Sale of Goods Act, your contract is with the Dealership and not Peugeot, so you are better addressing everything to the Dealership. We had 100% help from the dealership and 0% from Peugeot Head Office with our problem.

Unless you've bought the car on HP (or via PSA finance like me) in which case your contract is with the finance company.

Bought from jamjar.com, who said now wasn't their problem! Have written back as well as to trading Standards, BBC Watchdog, What Car? magazine and Todd Evans, Pug MD! Whatch this space, if they want a fight they have got one! And the car is still in dock awaitning parts!

good luck you will need it .....

my dealer know they will need to replace my CC if it isn't fixed this time. they say that the problem is with them and they need to finance the replacement, not peugeot.

i guess at least with a dealer, you have some back up, an importer won't be caring.

Are you a member of the AA or RAC. We used the AA when we had problems as they offer free legal advice. You need to find out exactly where you stand with Jamjar..

Guess what turned up on my drive the other morning! Yes a REPAIRED and so far (touch wood!) 100% OK car! I'm overjoyed! (And still a little shocked!)

The car has now cut out /lost power 3 times when driving. We took it to a different dealer (Birtwistle of Northwich have written and ADMITTED they can't fix it! If anyone wants to see the letter I would very happily oblige!) Took it to a different dealer. Two days later, guess what, lost power and cut out the same day it was collected from the garage! Am waiting for Direct Line (who own jamjar) to either give me a refund or a new car. I think over 45 days at the garage for a 5 month old car is not on!

Mikeya,

Which other dealer did you used in Cheshire, I look my car the Halls' in Warrington who told me my 6 month old car had warped in the sun, They ordered new parts weeks ago, not heard anything. Got fed up of waiting, my dad will fix it at the weekend.
Good luck with the fight.

I have had no problems with Halls in Warrington. Even done the car whilst I waited for it when she was in for her recall.

Hmm. The car was collected Wednesday after 2 days there with cutting out faults. (In for the 3rd time, first two at Birtwistle, who have admitted in writing they can't fixit!). Unfortunately failed with same fault again the day it was collected. The car will now be rejected, I am absolutely sick of it breaking down.
