I've been thinking of getting rid (again !), imagine my shock and horror when I perform a price-guide check on Parkers.co.uk and find I've lost around £7K since last march (01/Y plate).
There was a time when they were going for well over list (over £18k) and rumours of high residual values, but now it seems that the market is a little flooded, lots of imports, and letsbuyit.com(as well as others) giving huge discounts - it's early bad press can't have helped the price either. All said, it's been fun !
Residual value shocker

Sorry to hear that Stuart, especially as your CC with all those accessories really looks the business. Apart from Dereks experience, as you may remember, I had problems selling my CC on the second hand private market so in time it ended up back at my dealers having lost £3,700 after 8/9 months of ownership.
I think your right, it seems that imports have defenitely driven down UK dealer cars, but I suppose it was to be inevitable considering the large number of cheaper imports now available.
Robbie.

Always found that Parker's value cars a lot lower than say What Car? guides. Try to find dealers or private owners selling at or accepting Parker's prices. You won't!
The trade uses Glass' guides. At www.vauxhall.co.uk you can value your car as a p/ex and at www.carsource.co.uk/tradeinvalues they also add a dealers retail price for cars.
Might not be so depressing!

autoexpress.co.uk in my experience showed very accurate valuations for trade / private / retail. don't know if the CC is listed yet.
