My silver 206cc will be delivered on Monday.

Ordered through Virgin Cars, whom I would advise you all to steer well clear of.

Originally, I was given a delivery date of mid July. I was then told it would be delayed until mid September.

At the end of August, after several phone calls, I was told mid October.

Virgin say that they sometimes fall prey to delays due to "changes in production schedules". However, what the whole experience has proved to me is that the savings gained in importing may not justify the extra wait to get behind the wheel.

On a more positive note...can't wait to drive it on Monday.

Well I would recommend Virgin, actually. Despite the delays (which are down to Peugeot) they have kept me updated and it's finally sitting on my drive.

Managed to put the roof down for 2 minutes in between the drizzle as well :D

Hi Patters - another new owner to join the band - welcome!! I picked up my black 2.0 two weeks ago, and I am loving it!! Had the roof down quite a few times already - I too had hoped to pick mine up in the Summer, and was worried that I wouldn't get a chance to take advantage of the convertible, but everytime the sun comes out, the roof goes down!!

Only niggle I have with my local dealer is that they still haven't got me a manual. Plus I know its not their fault but I have no idea how to turn the front windscreen heater off again unless I turn off the engine, and I don't know how the automatic headlights work!!! But then that was probably cos I was so excited about driving the car off the forecourt that I didn't really listen to the guy from the dealership telling me how all the gizmos work!! I am going to call in tomorrow and ask them to explain it all again (probably in words of one syllable!!)
If I'm not here I'm in Symi.....where the sun is always shining.....

A quick search for "auto lights" will reveal all.

Basically, turn the ignition to the first position and then push the auto button in. You'll get the confirmation message.

Yahooo!

At 11:45am today, I took delivery of it. And I've been out in it all day (roof down).

Actually, when I say, "roof down", I mean, "roof down, roof up, roof down, roof up, roof down..."

Y'see, I'm still in awe of the novelty of it. 6.1 miles on the clock when the keys were handed to me...28.5 miles on the clock now.

I'm going to spend the next hour listing out all the mates I need to visit in the next five days, for no particular reason at all.

Well pleased.

Photos to follow soon.

You know...something else I've only just realised about the ownership experience...

I don't want to go to work.

I seriously considered 'bunking off' today in order to take CC out of London for a spin.

It took more than a little bit of will power to actually go to work.
