Hate to be one of those who says use the search facility

It really doesn't bother me questions being asked before always like to help new comers but in this case lots been said already. I cant be a**ed to find all the threads for. It will probably be quicker for you to search.

So do use the search and when you pick up your CC Look for the sky.

Good luck.

Hi JD, the sort of things to look for are the usual things when accepting a car from a dealers ie try not accept it if its wet, it should be dry so you can carefullly cast your eye over all external panels to ensure there are no scratches or penny dents from transit. If leather check out for scratches like I had, especially check out those alloys for chips or defects, especially as there have been well documented problems with poor quallity control. Check out the roof works before you drive away as this is the major problematic area, and I'd check out all those electrics making sure the air con, lights etc work.

Well the thread is open now so I might aswell post! ;)

Is anyone else waiting for there car to be delivered? Im asking this beacuse mine is a month late now and I was wondering if this was normall? It has now been 4 months since I ordered it from the Importers Car import Solutions which are the cheapest but not very proffesional!

They quoted me 3 months delivery and have now put this back 3 times! I have heard others talk about delays before and apparently the Pug factory has been closed??

Wondering if anyone else is having the same problem?

Thanx peeps!

I was going to import with SCI Direct but changed my mind and did it with Broadspeed.com instead. The waiting list on SCI was way too long comared to all otehr import companies

I'm afraid looking at posts on this forum, it seems import delays are more often the norm.

(I heard the Pug factory was closed cos of a leakin roof  )

and their carpets didn't fit and their windows squeaked!

When I bought mine nearly a year ago (!), Pug dealers were suffering from delays too but I think that was exceptional, owing to leaking roofs, fire in the factory or hail at calais or whatever other reason they could pull out of a fortune cookie!

But I don't know how a dealer's supply is right now... and if they're suffering the same delays as importers??? I know suddenly they found a load of ccs in the spring so supply was good for a while...

Hey peeps,

Just a bit of advice, as mentioned in my previouse post my car is delayed, over a month later than expected now (been 4 months and they said it should be less than 3) is there anything you think I can do? ie get some money off or somehting thrown in?

What do you think? Has anyone managed to get anythig out of a dealers before? Im buying through an importers called Car import solutions and they are getting it tthrough Calaise Nord Autos.

Thanx!

Read the terms and conditions. They will usually state what happens in the event of a delay.

Mine's coming from Calais Nord Autos direct. Supposed to be being built this week, but I haven't heard anything yet.

The order form I signed with CNA has a 'drop dead' delivery date of 28/11/02, but I don't know what happens if it goes past that.
