To add to the many exciting problems that Peugeot have given me free with my 206CC is another new one - when I apply the handbrake at night, it seems to release fine but when you pull off there is a clunk from one of the rear wheels as is something (the brake I guess) hadn't released. This only seems to occur if parked on a slight incline and can be resolved by rolling back slightly before pulling away ! Mentioned it to the dealer - who said it was due to 'overnight corosion causing the brake to seize on ....' said they had checked it all and 'tightened it up' (yeah right) and surprise surprise still the same. Interesting thing though when he mentioned overnight corosion .... does anyone elses brake disks looks really rusty first thing ??

i don't know if they look rusty, but i often experienced the "clunk" you mention when driving away in the morning.

if it happens to the new CC then i'll know it is a free gift with all CC's

derek

Funny you mention it. Its one of those things I notice virtually every morning but forget about once I'm driving. I'm not great in the morning!!

Doesn't really bother me, just thought it unusual as I never noticed it with my previous (non CC) 206.

Yep, I've got the same problem as my drive has an incline. I also encounter this when I use an Astra.
