I have come to the following conclusion:
The ECUs let the computer know if there is a fault with whatever it is they're controlling. The roof ECU lets it know if there's a fault with the roof, for example.
The radio ECU lets it know if there's a problem with the Clarion. If there's no Clarion installed, there can't be a fault with it.
The question is - will the computer interpret a missing radio as a faulty radio? If it does, the ECU for the radio needs to be disabled. If not, it's ok to leave it enabled.

Yes it DOESdoes it have to be disabled?
Don't take these for granted because I have heard these to happen.
Ask your dealer first and act precautiously

Waste of time. They haven't got a clue. And the adapter is completely useless as well. I still had to change a couple of wires around on it.Ask your dealer first and act precautiously
