Firstly..hello all, just joined.. I have had my SE for two months now. Since week 1 its made this humming noise at just below 3thou revs in every gear!! Having read about the manifold props I popped it to my dealership.

They said it was normal for the first few thou miles.. (hummm). Being fobbed off I thought. Anyway stood my ground, told them about what I had read and surprise surprise.... a new manifold is now on order!!!

Good for you.

Is that the romford dealer? As i've always found them to be very good although i have to admit to never using their service dept. just their parts and sales.

Good luck with toomey, its where i bought mine from, and its been back so many times, every time i go there nearly everyone in service reception is in for warranty work or complaining about something.

Its not been back since the roof stopped working (while they had it) and they couldnt fix it, i took it away, took it home moved the manual locking pins and fixed it myself!
