Hi all

I just took delivery of my new 206CC last week, and am already looking to get some nice ICE fitted.

I really miss my last car's ICE - nothing special just Sony Active Black Panel Head unit with a 10 Disc CD changer.

Before I go mad and order my new replacement Sony gear, I would love to know the answers to a couple of questions :

1. I know that you can get a 'display interface lead'... but, using such a lead, will the peugeot's display function EXACTLY the same way it does currently (ie graphical volume slider etc etc) .. or will I only be displayed basic information.

2. Again, I know you can obtain a remote stalk interface cable (or perhaps the peugeot one plugs straight into the sony ?) but again, are ALL the functions of the stalk replicated (especially MUTE).

I suppose I dont want to get anything that will partially disable the nicer features of the standard fit peugeot.

Anyone have any experience with fittings ?

Also... question 3... I worry about having someone to fit the stereo who may not ahve come into contact with a 206cc before - are there any pitfalls I need to mention to a fitter ? - Do i need a facia plate or will the standard stereo fit into the hole ?

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

It's a standard fit. You may have a problem with the wiring.

You will need a wiring harness from Pug - http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/pictures/ ... rface.html - and might want to get a monkey to disable the Radio ECU in the BSI. You may also have to change a wire or two around even with the harness - http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... php?t=2958

I have a Kenwood so I can't help with the Sony adapter(s).[/i]

And from what he says, I'm assuming he's taken delivery of a brand new car. If the car was built after Nov'01 he won't need a fascia plate.
