If I wanted to get a different CD player installed in my new cc that is on its way. Will the warranty still be valid. If not can I get Peugeot to fit a Kenwood CD player or does it have to be a peugeot one i.e clarion etc.

Hi,

I really don't think upgrading you Head Unit will invalidate the warranty!.. I've changed mine... and took it into a dealership and they still fix my car.

If in doubt ask the dealer to supply and fit a radio/cd of your choice. Even if they take a £10 or £20 handling fee if it sets your mind at ease. I did this with my first CC (no handling fee charged).

Now I trust my dealer I have sorted it myself with the 2nd and third CC's.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I will get the monkeys to install it when I get the car. What is the standard clarion CD player like guys?

I personally didn't think too much of it.... its not too bad I guess but I don't like having to cary too many CDs around with me so for that reason I upgraded my Head Unit to the Kenwood MP3 Head Unit... I can fit a hell of a lot more song on it and you can use CDRW discs too...

Nowadays I can have about 60 of songs on one disc... not bad!

I personally didn't care too much about the integrated display on the dash as the one on my old 206glx had alot more information displayed including radio and CD display... This one doesn't so it was a bit pointless.

Rgds,
Tyce.
