When changing your front and rear speakers, can anyone remember if they chopped the little white connecty thing off on the factory wires, of if they just stuck the new wires into the white plastic connector thingy??

What is the best way forward? Also, can anyone tell me off the top of their heads the whether 1 is + and 2 is -, or the other way round

cheers
Paul

I changed my speakers last week & found it easier to cut off the connectors - although this makes it harder to put the original speakers back at a later date. The front wiring Pink was + on both sides & in the back the + one was Blue & one was Red (not sure which side was which).Hope this helps.
I fitted what most people have recommended on this site
Kenwood
KFC - P703 - fronts (component set of 4)
KFC - 1077 - rears. (two rears)

I must admit - I don't think the sound has improved considerably from the originals (very little bass) & I will not get the best from them until I add an Amp & Sub.
