Yes it's mine :(

A guy decided to park, then change his mind and suddenly reversed out just as I was passing.... Stoved in the passenger door and rear wing. Hopeful that his insurance will cough up though.

And my cat was ok, we were going to the vets :)

Make sure you check the paintwork thoroughly when the jobs done.
Ive seen some very poor paint jobs recently, the finish can be bad but colour match seems to be a particular problem for the pug monkeys.

We had our rear wing scratched. Got Wokingham Motor to repair it. they did a good job you'd never know it had been damaged. They apparently had to take out all the interior trim to do the rear wing. Claire wasn't convinced the insurers approved repairer knew what they where doing. Don't think they had seen a CC before. Get a quote from WM or another local dealer (if they have a body works)

Somebody else posted recently about reparers but I cant find it. I am sure they said they regreted going to the approved reparer and were gutted to find they could have gone to main dealer.

Thanks Duncan, I've told Direct Line that I want it done by Pug but I didn't know WM have a body shop so I'll go there tomorrow. I've also got to have an assessor out but at least the ball is rolling, yippee!

why is this in the SPOTTED section, surely it should be in the NOT SEEN - BANG section

Seriously, tell your insurance company that it needs to be done by PUG as there have been problems with some repairers opening the roof to do repairs and buggering the roof up. Not strictly true but it will convince them to use PUG as they wont need the hassle or expense of a possible roof repair. Explain about water leaks etc.

Also for anyone else who has a mishap - do like I did, ask the person to write their name and address down, while they are doing that also ask them to write down thier admission of fault and sign it. Once they have done this put the paper into a plastic wallet/envelope to preserve finger prints. I did this and when the other company queried the claim I explained this and said I can produce the evidence with finger prints in tact in COURT if you like. Funny - they settled there and then :)

NEVER EVER give out your home address. Give only your mobile number and your insurance companie details. If need be give them an e-mail in case they need to contact you.

I once had someone who drove into me ringing up and threatening me. My dad answered and explained he was a copper but it could have got nasty.
