Well I was supposed to pick up my car on 1st at 9am.

Went down today to give them the insurance so it could be taxed.

Found my old car on the forecourt for sale (It still belonged to me) and all of the bumpers of my new car had been put on the old one.

They were meant to colour code the new car but tried to do it on the cheap and use stuff off the old one.

I wouldnt mind but I have booked 3 days holiday to coincide with tomorrow. So 3 days wasted and no new car on 1st of the month (

I am NOT HAPPY. and the best of it is they lent me a Combie van thing - I look like Postman Pat.

Just seems me and Peugeots dont go together. Think I am never going to buy another one.

I want some compensation.

i think you need to have a polite word with them Rob. if you were getting a free replacement then i could see the point in what they did, but not when you are effectively paying £1500 for the new car.

derek

p.s. as for the combie van - say no more

Hello Rob (AKA Postman PAT)..

I can imagine you driving a combie van!! what I funny thought... although it isn't really funny when you consider that you have taken time off and they are messing you around... I bloody hate dealer they get on my nerves... are they that stupid that they think you are gonna accept junk/faulty good or whatever it maybe???..

I do believe that you should ask for compensation... and you shoulf get it hopefully...!

I hope everything else works out for you... why do you think I am prolonging taking my car to the dealership to get the recall work done... coz they are all Peugeot Monkeys... Last time my car ended up with a wack big dent on the side of the car and then they tried to blame me.... what plonkers.!

Take Care,
Tyce

Rob, I think you can probably see where I was coming from, there is only so much a person can stand and then you think F@ck it, and go else where. As you know they did the same with my car!

the mechanics are fine, booked Melanies car in on Monday for the roof leak and they supplied and fitted new roof seals today.

As for new cars have you seen the Alfa in this weeks Autoexpress. We both want one.

Compensation - what do you lot suggest is reasonable considering I have bought 3 cars off them in 12 months.

rob,

did they give you a reason for giving you a van ?

i'm also surprised you accepted it

one of the conditions that i accepted a replacement CC was that i got the Y reg Rover 45 courtesy car changed to either a high spec 307 or 406. i got a 51 reg 307 2.0GLX to use until my CC arrives which could have been up to 12 weeks if they hadn't jumped the queue and stole someone elses CC.

you could maybe earn some extra money during your 3 days off and do some house removals with the van

well I got rid of the 'Postman Pat' van or as the dealer calls it 'the Pope Mobile' this morning

They have lent me a brand new 406 estate with lots of toys to keep me quiet.
