Yup, mods can come off no problem, I'm looking for around 5500 for it. If you would like some pictures let me know and I can email some to you over Christmas.

Thanks for your interest.

106 and saxo are as good as the same car?

zest =very cheep citroen
quicksilver = westcoast/furio
GTI = VTS

The citroen versions are always lighter=quicker=better handling.

Plus Citroen garages give far better service than Peugeots in the main. Just a shame they do not make cc's. Mind you quicksilver has got far more street cred than a westcoast.

I agree with darth,I still have my saxo vtr(t reg)

the cc was to replace it,but it spends so much time in dealers that i darnt sell the saxo.

The saxo is faster,better on fuel,handles better,cheaper to insure,DOES NOT leak,the handbrake works,loads more stuff.

However,in the cc defence.the cc is smoother to drive,nicer to look at,the roof comes off of course,safer

However,the citreon dealers at least speak to you as if u human,not that its ever needed to go in,only 3 services in 3 yrs(£90 a time)36000 miles of trouble free motoring,cc however,900 miles and its had 5 trips to dealer already.

hurts me to say this,but at the present time,the saxo is the car for us.we often wonder why we wanted to change it.

yes they 106 is same as saxo BUT there are subtle differences. u ask any1 with any sense which car they would prefer vts or gti. i'd have a gti anyday.

i wont even sit in a saxo. i'd rather walk after having my leg gnawed off but a manky huge dog.

When we were considering buying the saxo vtr,her indoors liked the look of the 106 gti,so we looked at both.

Now im not sure about prices now,but then(june 99)the pug was £3000 more,yet the cars are 70% the same.

On asking ,I was told it was because the pug had better build quality,but we decided on the saxo,it being group 7 ,to pugs group 14.

On having now brought pugeot cc,well the build quality is a joke,my 3 yr old saxo is by far better,in fact we are now thinking about not selling the saxo and just using the cc as second car,you just cant trust them for a first car.

sorry if that rattles a few cages,but its how we both feel.

my pug cc has same engine as vts,but my vtr is by far faster

vtr is .7 of sec slower on 0-60 then vts

vtr is 7mph slower then vts(120,compared to 127)is 120 not fast enough

I test drove the vtr,vts and pug gti,unless u f1 driver you be hard pushed to tell the differance,well 3grands worth of differance

Dont get me wrong,after 1ooyds of roofless driving in the cc its the best car ever,all its problems just go to the back of my mind,I would say,that if there was a saxo convertable there id have one.on my present experiance citroen knock spots off peugeot.

the vtr does not have the same engine as the gti at all. the gti is 16v vtr is 8v. thats why u have the 3k price difference. and there is a BIG difference in performance.

fair comments m8 :D :D :D

they may have the same engine but the CC is the far bigger and heavy car than your little saxo :P :D :D :D :D

yes any little niggles can be forgotten when the roofs down for some topless cruising 8) 8)

citroen do a convertiable based on the 206, it's the plurial (spelling) :D
