Paul, have you looked in the style section, lots of suggestions there. Infact, I quite fancied the front/rear spoilers, quite discreet but very stylish indeed!

Paul, now we've narrowed down what your after have you seen the ideas in the tuning section? I intend to purchase the super chip which beefs up the performance. If your interested it's worth checking out as it doesn't seem that expensive and may also not effect your insurance (best to check with them first though).

just got this reply from peugeot customer services regarding fitting non peugeot parts including air filters and quickshift:

Thank you for your e-mail. If you fit a non-Peugeot part to your vehicle, the part and any area
that may be affected by that part will no longer be covered by your warranty. I hope this answers
your query.

So keep the original and put it back in if it has to go back for a service or warranty repair

not very practical if you fit a quickshift or superchip though.

Trying to looking a bit more positively about these modifications - that's the chance you take and I'm sure the superchip etc comes with the appropriate guarantee.

yes superchip does come with a gaurantee, but what peugeot have stated is that any part of the car that is affected by the modifiation will also not any longer be under the warranty.
say my engine blows up for instance, they could blame that on the superchip.

So, then you sort out the new engine costs with whoever fitted the chip if it resulted in a blown engine. Not wanting to be a doom and gloom merchant, I'm sure these people are professionals and the likelihood of such a scenario happening must be small. But once again, as I said, it's the individual's choice.

as i said i dont know much about engines etc but, if i am understanding you right, the superchip warranty covers my motor or any parts in my motor that might be affected by the superchip?
if this is correct i may go for it, i think i will definatly go for the k&n filter, especially as it is only £35.
what have you fitted on your motor robbie?

Paul, I don't know the exact terms of warranty, so its probably best to e-mail Simon (pugsport)who fits the superchips to enquire what exactly is covered. You may have seen his superchip warranty post in the tuning section.

If it transpires that only the chip is directly covered, then in the unlikly event of the said item being the sole cause of the engine failure, you would of course have legal redresss in seeking compensation for engine repairs etc regardless of what warranty was offered (though of course this could be more long winded than if you could have claimed under Peugeot warranty). I wouldn't be surprised though if such firms have adequate insurance to cover such an eventuality.

I don't want to sound alarming since I'm sure these firms are fully professional like Simon (Pugsport) and know what they are doing. Simon can probably put your mind more at ease on this subject.

I haven't got round to any modifications yet as I simply haven't had the time but I plan to locate a local firm to fit the superchip shortly and to fit the rear spoiler since I saw some great pics. After that I'll probably leave it alone as I don't want the apppearance of being a boy racer in my thirties! The only additions to my Pug currently are the usual non-mechanical accessories, the windstop and bootrack (and various people have made complementary remarks about the bootrack looking the business from the rear of the car).

thanks for your help robbie. i think i may wait until my peugeot warranty has run out (only 1 year as its an import) before fitting superchip, i think i will go for a k&n panel filter and definatly a windstop.
the rear spoiler looks good and also the mesh gril at the front. the only other thing i might look at is colour coding the bumper parts and air flow duct on the bonnet.
first port of call will have to be replacing the crap clarion stereo though, its shite.
