I did staple my finger as a kid, in an inquisitive kind of moment, and yes I can vouch for the noise and feeling of the staple on the bone as it is pulled slowly out of the targetted finger. Once the staple has been removed, together with a small piece of skeletal debris still attached, the wound becomes insignificant compared to the bodies urge to excrete as much blood as it can from a small hole - sod the supersoakers, staple your finger!
