Sub boxes

For those have you that have built your own MDF boxes to house your subs in the boot, what are the maximum dimensions I can have to be able to fit the box in the boot and still be able to put the roof down?

I'm useless with crafting so will probably get a pre-built one so just need to know what the max height is etc.

the max height it obviously what u can fit under the shelf in the boot. about 6 inches. what i did was get a pre built box, cut the angled back off it and put an mdf piece in place to fill the hole. fits perfectly. the dimensions are slighty small but still sounds ok.
