Took a deep breath, ripped a few feathers off, tore apart the skin on its breast, pulled back the crop, took out biggest knife on "Leatherman" and cut breast fillets off!

I now have four nice Pheasant Breast fillets in my freezer. Mmmm Pheasant burgers.

Blondecruiser,

No they had only hung for just under a week so they weren't maggoty. Skin nice and loose though!! Last time I got some I gave them to a mate to do and when I handed them over to him in the car park of the pub they were still warm. They had only been shot a couple of hours before!!
