Well today I finally went to get my new car after a 10 day delay.

I was at the dealers by 08:15 and finally left tonight at 17:45.

Even still I have 4 FAULTY alloy wheels that need to be replace and my auto lights feature doesnt work.

Rob, what was wrong with your alloy wheels? Is there something we all need to look out for?

its common with all CC's or at least our 3.

in and around the holes where the nuts go there is often damage to the laquer and sometimes even down to bare metal

It is just clumsy workers when they fit the whees, Their power tools are just banged into the wheels and hey presto damage.

The reason to worry is if there is damage to the laquer then the weather and road debris can get under the surface and the wheel gets worse - suppose its like rust the way it spreads (

oh on a good note - went to the dealers today and Dave my GURU mechanic sorted the auto lights. They hadnt been activated like they should be before delivery.

All done in 2 minutes - only the alloys now

on other thing on alloys. make the dealer take them off and then look at them. This serves 2 purposes.

1 - you cant alwats see the damage uinless you rotate the wheels

2 - they can then clean all the excess underseal that has been sprayed on the reverse side of your alloys (

Rob, sounds like the peugeot monkeys run a mile as soon as they see you coming!

Thanks for the tip on the alloys, like Derek says, I'll look out for that when I change mine.

Dave at my garage is always helpful and comes over to chat - nice bloke

When I pointed out my wheels to the dealer he rang Peugeot Warranty and the conversation went like this

Peugeot Warranty - '...well can you see the marks...'

My Dealer'..no ordinary bloke would but this is Rob Moore...'

Peugeot Warranty - "...Who?..."

as it happens Steve Jones (the poor chap from Customer Services at Peugeot HQ who delas with me was stood next to him and overheard my name being mentioned. He said '...for petes sake just give him 4 new wheels...'

Nice to know that I get 'special service' - lol
