Aha, I found your ICE thread Robbie in "discussion"... do you have the model number please? Could well be interested if Him Indoors' new car doesn't have a CD player and it's the right model

i'm fine pauline - thanks. back to work tomorrow which is not so good. not been the best week with the insurance problems, also cracked front splitter on a speed bump - twice but ecosse will repair it for me when they fit the rear spoiler soon.

Thats OK Pauline, I've now asked Mercedes to fit their own CD Player in the SLK when they carry out some warranty work on 26 Feb.

Thankfully that way everthing including backlighting + illumination will finally be in harmony and match up with the rest of the car.

The new Sony CD player can go back into its box for now.

Strange William

I've got confirmation in my sent box of pictures I sent to your hotmail address 2 days ago (24/2/03 at 17.29pm).

Since I hadn't any reply, I traded the Sony player in this afternoon for a for a more expensive Alpine CD player (less a Â£20 handling charge) with amber backlighting - cos the mercedes player I wanted was outragiously priced.

was far too expensive for me, twas only the CD Player I'm afraid.
