I've got 17 inch wheels on with 205 40 tyres
It gives the same overall size wheel as with the original 16's as the tyre wall is lower profile....

You can lower the car by 40mm wihtout having to change the shocks (any more and you will need to)...
Its possible to fit 18's on but I dont know of anyone that has.

Theyre similar...

And yes - Springs were replaced as well as the rear torsion bars and anti roll bar (thicker / stiffer)
