Ive got 17s on the car just now but fancy a change!

Cars getting lowered 40mm sometime this month, but the question is will I be able to get 18s on still without any probs or rubbing?

Or should I just stick woth 17s??

not quite right ... you stick 18's on and you really will need to get the arches rolled. Depends if you are driving a 1.6 or a 2ltr as the wings are different .. isnt that so erm ;)

depends if you want full lock really ....

well spent today going round different garages and stuff to see what theyre opinions were!

And all of em have said that 18s are gonna cause a problem! They said bark arches would need rolled and I couldnt just lower it with springs Id need dampers n stuff cause theyre narrower or the wheel will rub!

And to top all that off, the wheels i want, come in 4 stud in 17s but only 5 stud in 18s so would need stud conversion too!

Sounds far too uch hassle and too much ££ that could be spent on other mods soIm just gonna go for new 17s!

Cheers for ur comments though!

18s cause no problems!!!!!!

as long as u get 7.5 x 18s ur fine.....

talk to the real experts like i have..... Xtreme in harlow have said to me when i put my 18s on a CC there is no problem lowering 35-40mm no need to roll arches unless ur dropping it 60mm. So two springs and a bit of torsion bar adjustment and its fine :P :P :P

You'll see when i get mine done :P :P :P

two springs .. you are kidding arnt you ? if you gonna do a job do it properly and fit coilovers .... if you just change the springs you will put the shocks under alot more pressure making them wear alot faster .... i know i used to hack springs up on bugs all the time ..

pardon my ignorance
what's the difference between springs and coil overs?
