my opinion differs on this. it is hardly a significant plate so £1k is a dream, i would try for the £250 you paid for it and hope for the best.

well i dunno derek - you were hoping for a similar amount for yours, and there were plenty of *20 gcc plates available at the time! Why should a 'P' reg be worth £500 more than a 'D' reg?

still, at with houses, a plate is worth whatever offers are made for it - if someone REALLY wanted MY plate, then they would offer me silly money for it - if no-one wants it, then no-one will offer, and the plate is practically worthless.

It is worth bearing in mind that i am willing to go up to £1500 - £2000 for the SINGLE number plate i REALLY REALLY want - most people on this forum probably wouldnt pay 10p for it!

Someone did it to me with the number[late i wanted. It was available the Thursday before Easter, but by Easter Sunday it had gone. I was gonna make a tidy sum on it too. Turns out my old Flight Sergeant from Lyneham had it bought for him as a present by his wife. So if you see a car with the number plate: C17 MOV please swear loudly at it. :x
