Just wondering if it's important to close or open the latches simultaneously.

Morning gtb5, that's an interesting question.

Assuming it's the roof latches, could be difficult to simutaniously open/close them together when often there's only one person in the car.

I know we've had some discussion about this in the roof section under twisted roof topic. It was suggested that to keep opening the same side first and last may contribute to the roof eventually coming out of alignment though I have no idea if this may be the case.

To be on the safe side, I have decided to alternate opening and closing the latches one at a time so each side has the same wear and tear.

Hi Robbie, I try to close and open them at the same time, but of course there is still slight difference, may be they'll come up with auto lock and unlock in the 307CC but will be costly.

I think it may be costly, but reckon that your suggestion of an automated locking roof would be a sure winner with customer sales.

Maybe while their at it, Peugeot could provide the infra red opening/closing roof like the Astra.

Yeah I would surely pay for auto lock and unlock feature, but remote roof is not that important to me, rather have a one-touch button.

I read somewhere that the 307cc roof will not have manual catches - operation will be via the switch only.

I find if I don't lock the latches simultaneously, the first latch (the tigher one) squeaks when driving which is very annoying.

I agree that there should be a one touch button ... it is 2002 etc.

Could have been worse though ... Peugeot could have used a manual wind system ;)
