ok but how many of you have to park next to a kerb in tight parking spaces on a main road all the time with 18s that have a tyre with a profile of 35?

anyways if no-one did it pete you wouldnt have a job!!!!!

and just for the record only once have i kerbed my 18s....... the other damage was done when i had the blow out on the M25, and once when i hit another pothole that scraped the side of alloy cause the tyres are so thin. so :P :P :P :P :P :P

rather have kerbed 18s than no 18s at all :P

I agree, but im glad to say that the people who pay me vast amounts of cash to fix there wheels dont .

Build higher kerbs i say, make it part of the test, kerb mounting, everyone should try it at least once.

the n/s/f alloy on my saxo started life as 14",been painted now so much its almost 15".hahahahaha

OK, so assuming a 'friend' was to do an ERM, (have I got the lingo right for kerbing an alloy?) how much might this, ahem, friend expect to pay to have it fixed up by an expert like Wheel Repair It?

The friend hasn't badly scraped the wheel, just cut it so fine that it flaked the paint off... What a nana, eh?

no thats not the right lingo.......

to do an Erm means to at 12am on the M25 hit somethin in the road doin 70 mph....... bend the alloy so it dont roll straight cuz the tryres are so thin and the air escape from the tyre so your rolling on the rim of your alloy as opposed to the tyre....... and being very lucky not to be in a serious accident

so lay off me

Sorry Erm, no offence intended.
OK then, this friend didn't do anything as daft as hitting something on the M25, instead he didn't quite judge the relative length of car against width of road whilst attempting a 1 point turn. Got it wrong by about 2mm the silly sod.

But the question still stands- How much to sort it?
