Hello,

I'm going to become a 206cc owner before Summer. I'd love to install a CD MP3 player compatible with the car display and usable with the controls mounted near the wheel.

Do you know if there are models which satisy these requirements?

Thank you!
Marzio

Your only possibility at the moment is a Sony, but this will only work with the stalk. There aren't any that work with the display AFAIK.

I've got the sony MP30 working with the stalk control and display (my car's multiplex) - you just need the adapter from www.connects2.co.uk it's part code DPGS003. Works pukka.

Thank you to everybody!

Just another information, even if I suspect it's a typical newbie question: what do you mean when you say that a car is "multiplex"?

Didn't someone above say they got the MP30 working with the display too? Is this right?

Yes, the MP30 unit works with the display, where the radio station and cd track info shows up (names where programmed). However when playing an MP3 disk the track info doesn't show. Otherwise everything else works ie. vol, fad, bas, bal, etc.

Right.. I've got my Sony CDX-MP40 Head Unit and the Connects2 Lead now. (Part no:DPGS003) All hooked up and stalk and display both now working. quick question when playing mp3 discs though.... When I switch on and play the first MP3 (i.e Track 1) the display on the Dash doesn't progress. As in the Sony Head unit moves onto track 2 but the dashboard still says Track 1 the whole time for the rest of the disc until I power off. Even tried a cold reset to no avail. Is this right or does this sound like a fault? Can anyone with a similar install to the above let me know please? Cheers!!

No it's not a fault, that's what I meant by track info not showing up on MP3 disks, but if you play a CD as opposed to an MP3 disk with the track names stored they (the track names) will show up on the display, or it'll progress the track numbers.
