Hi,

I just sold my wonderful 206CC and bought a 206SW (bigger family needs bigger car).

I want to take the original Peugeot stereo from the new multiplexed car and put it in my old CC(not multiplexed) is there any problem with this (getting display and everything working)?

Thanks,
Fredrik

To be blunt, it won't work :(

the non multiplex 206 have no display (just a clock right?), i still suspect that it will still work if you just connect the power and speakers but you have to control it blind because there wont be any display whatsoever, so tunning radio would be a bit tough.

Tested it now and ofcourse it doesn't work!

The new full-multiplex factory stereos are coded to the specific car and can't be changed even by Peugeot.

This sucks!

Its just a different system; the older <2002 206 have semi MUX and the 200> are full MUX, its kinda trying to run a win 3.11 program on a windows XP based computer.

Your dealer can switch the RD3 to any full mux car (307 mux206, 807)
the only thing he has to do is change the VIN number in the radio to the VIN number of the car where the radio is nn installed
