Hi all
yes BUY ONE NOW!!! I have had 2 and neither have had any major problems. To be able to put the roof down in such a short space of time and so easily is wonderful.

For me, there's only one thing better than a CC - and that's 2 CCs, to stop husband taking it off me! He said if I had £40k would I buy an SLK? And I said no way Jose, I'd buy 3 CCs  Go on, go on, go on... Buy one!

I had the "small leak when parked in the rain" thing to but it soon drained into my lap then stopped. Nothing a bit of silicon grease couldn't fix.

I LOVE MY CC and wouldn't be without it now! But thank goodness I never got a lemon, but that's the risk you take NO MATTER what car you buy - there's always the risk of getting a Friday afternoon car. I know - my last one (Renault) was one. Pauline

gizmoguy, that has happened in only a small number of isolated cases. I haven't heard of that being a common problem on this Forum.

I hope you do buy one because overall, the cc is a great car.

If however you manage to talk yourself out of buying one, then that's also OK, because it'll make it all the more exclusive.

Good luck on your final decision.

Robbie.

I don't think there have been many cases of unreliable roof mechanisms lately, just leaky ones. So many Pug have got something right at least

The minor leaks go away after a short while - believe me ! At 20K miles mine is dryzabone.

If you are going to run the cc for a number of years, buy one, otherwise I would definately go for something else (controversy again). You won't get a hard top convertible for the same money but you will the choice of some rather nice motors.

Yesss! Buy one (as long as it's new - I can't imagine anyone selling one that's not faulty). Mine is virtually trouble free after 800 miles/1 month, and you can't beat the looks, the drive, the folding hard top, or the envy of others.

People mostly post to this forum when they have problems - I believe that most of the satisfied customers don't bother as they're too busy driving.
